Man, its been rough the past couple of weeks. Got it all over, but from the hip joints down is especially bad. Bad enough that narcotics dont help it much.
Cant take aspirin or other NAIDS. They do help, especially Naproxen, but I have a retinal disease that prevents me from taking those.
My wife has it just as bad. Looks like we would be bugging IN, certainly not out!

Sorry to hear about your affliction with RA. I just went through some
lab work ups testing to see if I had it, but rheumatics specialist
said no, my rashes were likely caused by white cells with something
irregular going on with my immune system. I was experiencing some
arthritis in the knee, which lasted a month. Now I'm waiting to see
if my VA primary care doctor pursues with more lab testing, I guess.

I'm inclined to be that much more careful with my diet, getting greens
and fruits, drinking plenty of water. At least the Internet offers an
avenue of home study. bookburn

That's not one of my list of medical problems. Though,
I do have compassion for you. Hunker down might be your
best choice, for sure.

Enbril
Humira
Stelara
All 3 are very effective and work quite well.....they reduce symptoms and
actualy stop the progression of arthritis.
The prices could give you a heart attack though

Take it easy... Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy.
Lighten up while you still can. Don't even try to understand.
Just find a place to make your stand and take it easy!

Agreed. Bad side effects. All the rheumatoid arthritis drugs do is suppress your immune system. Die from a cold or some such.

Coincidentally, I have an interview to see the VA rheumatologist next
week to see about lab tests showing something about white cells making
a rash as the result of immune system malfunction. Must be something
related to rheumatology, but over my head. bookburn

If I remember correctly, my white cell count was 21,000 last time it was checked. I think normal is like a thousand?

NB
skin rash is usualy psoriasis,,,,yet another form of arthritis
Sideaffects of arthritis drugs are over rated,,,,,many people have excelent
tesults from them versus a very few that have problems and most of those are
idiots that dont follow instructions

Thanks for the psoriasis clue. Long time ago a doctor noticed a rough
patch on my elbow and may have said it was psoriasis. If I'm guessing
right, psoriasis stays with you as a result of chicken pox or
something.

Yep. If you've ever had TB, it's that much worse. You shouldn't take some
of those drugs, because TB never really goes away. It's suppressed by your
immune system. But, if you weaken that system too much, TB can get you.
